I got these in black. In any of the other colors they are really cheap and cheesy looking — very pleathery looking — but in black they pass for patent leather decently well. They are comfortable and easy to walk in. However, the zippers are cheap and stick a little and the calves are on the narrow side–I can wear them with no more than thick tights so no tucking into boots. Because they are plastic and not leather, they squeak a little when they bend. Real leather would soften and this wouldn’t happen after a day or so, but I fear it will be permanent with these.

I love the look of these boots, very comforatable, once you get them on. . . however getting them on takes a while. The zipper is horrible! Very difficult to use. When I took them out of the box to try them on. . . it took forever to get the zipper down on them. I figured it was because they were so new. . . but after several times, the zipper is still ridiculous to use. My hands actually hurt after I get them on. I don’t want to go through the hassle of returning them, so I will suffer through it. . . .

It’s interesting to see how completely different everyone’s opinions are about this product. I took a gamble and wasn’t necessarily disappointed, but the boots definitely do not look patent leather (at least not in grey). They look vinyl. I’m okay with that, but I can see how others wouldn’t be. I ordered a size up based on the reviews, but the boot does not run small in my opinion. I could’ve ordered my regular size and would’ve preferred it, but it’s not worth exchanging. The calf width is loose on me, but I admit that I have narrow calves. No zipper problems for me yet, luckily. I think this is a cute pair of boots for the money, but they aren’t exceptional in any way.

they looked great online and they looked exactly that way when i got them except for the quality. the zipper got to the ankle but wouldn’t go down and when i looked closely the stitching it was bad. my husband had to force it down and when i finally got my foot in, there was no padding of any kind, also i don’t have wide feet but it felt like it was hanging off the sole. i am 5′9” and my legs are skinny. they were good around the calf but the ankle was very bulky. i really liked them but had to return because that zipper wasn’t going to last long.
