I spent months looking for a decent pair of winter boots for my husband. I have a hard time buying him boots because he has a rather lean, athletic build, which makes most boots too loose aroung his legs. Also, my husbands job in the winter consists of 10 hours of snow removal six days a week, so warmth was an issue as well. These boots are perfect. They keep his feet warm all day and are light weight enough to not wear him out. The buckles are on adjustable straps so they fit his legs snuggly and comfortably. I would reccommend these boots to anyone looking for a sturdy, warm, comfortable winter boot.

I have only worn these boots 3 times while out ice fishing and they have really done the trick. I have never been ice fishing in the past where my feet didn’t get a little bit cold or worse and my feet stay nice and warm with these on. The only small complaint I have about them is that it is hard to get them to feel snug on your foot with just the buckles. You can seem to cinch them down as far as possible and they feel a little too loose to me still. They will be fine for ice fishing or walking short distances in the snow but I wouldn’t want to try and snowshoe with them due to the loose feel. I have tried to continually cinch the buckles tighter but to no avail. Otherwise they are great!

Got these for snowmobiling and they work great. After postholing through knee and thigh deep powder to dig my nephew out all day (a dozen times or so), I can say that these boots kept me warm, dry, and comfortable. Easy on, easy off and good traction as well. Buckles (instead of hooks like on many winter boots) ensure you don’t tear up your seat while your throwing around your sled. Sizing was right on as well.

I noticed when I came on here to write this review that some people are trying to wear these just as a basic winter boot and that is simply not going to work, at least not very well. They are very stiff, almost like a cross between winter boots and ski boots. Yes they loosen up with time but even then they are not very comfortable to walk around in especially for long periods of time. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of boots out there that are far better designed for basic winter use. These boots are perfect for activities like snowmobiling.

These boots have a Molded EVA midsole for enhanced comfort, weight reduction and thermal protection. They have a removable 9mm Sorel ThermoPlus Xtreme InnerBoot. Thermoplus is a felt material which is extremely warm even in the coldest conditions. A built in gaitor with a barrel lock closure system keeps snow out and helps keep heat in. The boots have a fully seam sealed polar Lite shell which enhances flexibility. Some other details include a Shatter-resistant YKK Shokonloc buckle closure, Traction enhancing multi-directional rubber lug outsole, and Reflective safety graphics.

The bottom line is that this is not your average pair of winter boots and people who are looking for a casual pair of winter boots should really go elsewhere. Again there are literally hundreds of other boots that will work much much better if your just looking for a casual pair of boots. In other words if your looking for a pair of boots to go sledding in or a pair of boots to go to the mall in or a pair of boots to walk around town in then trust me, go elsewhere. If your looking for a serious pair of snowmobiling boots or if you work long hours outdoors during winter then you should definitely give these boots a look. They are built like a tank and keep your feet extremely warm.

    5 Stars!!
