I work in Chicago and live in the suburbs. Therefore I take the train and walk about a mile to work everyday. I needed something that was warm and kept my feet dry. These definitely do the trick.

The Pros:
rated for -25 degrees Farenheit
water proof
Actually cute looking boots, a lot of winter boots are more function than form.
The price is actually decent because I can see getting a few winters out of these. At the very least 2-3.
Very Durable.

The con (which isn't even a bad one):
Takes a few wears to break in and get used to. They are a little stiff at first, but not so stiff that you get blisters or they hurt your feet. They never hurt. It was just awkward walking in them the first 2-3 times while the waterproofed rubber broke in. I wear them every day and sometimes even forget to take them off.

They are pretty true to size, although it doesn't seem that way when I first put them on. I am a size 10 and at first I thought they didn't fit right, but once I wore them twice, they fit my foot perfectly.

There is an arch support in the boot, but it is not a very high one. If you require a high arch support you may want to purchase inserts.

If you need a boot that will keep your feet warm and dry, this is definitely a good buy.

Everyone's preferences are different. But personally, I love these boots and plan on using them until they are in tatters. :)

These boots are the warmest boots I have ever owned. It seems they run a little big though.

Love these boots! They're water proof, comfortable, and WARM! I could walk miles in these, but I don't expect to walk FAST. Like any other pair of boots I've ever owned, when I walk fast, the back of the boot rubs on my heels. Otherwise, nothing but LOVE! These kick Ugg boots butt any day.

This Sorel boot is a gorgeous purple color, the waterproof leather is of fantastic quality, the inside lining makes this the warmest pair of boots that I have ever tried on (and the best part about the lining is that it's not at all bulky or heavy). The insole is so comfy, and like my other Sorel boots, I could stand in these all day without getting sore feet. For the function, size, and material of this boot--it is surprisingly lightweight (mid-weight). I got a size 8, and these fit true to size and width. This being said, I sadly had to return them because of the awkward height of the boot shaft. I am 5'5" tall, and my pant inseam is 30". The height of the boot stops right in the middle of my calf in a very awkward place: I cannot flex my ankle or walk in them without the top of the boot pushing uncomfortably into my calf. I tried lacing them lower so that the top of the boot was looser, but this did not help. And just as an experiment, I tried wearing them without any laces at all, but still, the height of the boot shaft made it impossible for me to flex my ankle. If you are tall and super long-legged, this pair of boots would be perfect for you! If you have a shorter inseam, I'd recommend Sorel's punky and cool Tivoli boot, which also has a punkish yet girly vibe and is also waterproof and comes in cool colors (though not in this gorgeous purple color).

I brought these boots in tusk/redwood about a month ago. I wear anywhere from an 8-10 in normal shoes. I bought a 9, and while they are a little large, an 8 would definitely have been too small. They really should offer half sizes, but it doesn't really matter if you get yourself some big socks.

I really do love these boots. I only have one real complaint. They have been a lifesaver in this epic snowstorm the northeast has been getting, so I can't say I'm upset about buying them.

Pros:
-cute
-extremely warm
-very waterproof
-big enough to tuck pants into
-looks good with almost anything
-fast shipping

Cons:
-big and bulky
-rather clunky due to their size
-where the boots bend most often, the decorative pattern tends to crack
-expensive
*-probably the worse con (as all others really don't count in practicality) is that they are extremely uncomfortable before they get broken in. As I said previously, I bought them about a month ago, and they are only starting to get better. They are very comfortable on the soles of your feet, with plenty of wiggle room for toes or big socks, and the suede leather upper is very comfortable as well. But the place where the leather is connected to the rubber bottom is killer on the backs of my ankles. That area doesn't bend well, and rubs with every step I take. I have, on more than one occasion had my ankles bleed and swell because of it. It is a little better with big socks and my pants tucked in, but it still isn't comfortable for long walks. I wish they were more comfortable though because otherwise I really love them. I haven't heard this complaint from everyone, though other sites have interspersed similar comments. Therefore, I'm not sure if there are flaws in some pairs, or if the few of us just have anatomically different ankles. I have considered calling the company to complain, but as I have said, the boots have really been a life saver in this winter weather, despite the pain they have caused me. I'm also worried, that its just a matter of getting them broke in, and if I sent them in for a new pair, I would have to start all over in the breaking-in process.

Assuming you're one of the lucky ones, with either good boots or ankles, I HIGHLY recommend this product. I'm not sure if I would buy the very same pair if I did it again, but I wouldn't toss the idea completely. They're a good company, and a good product. Just not perfect.

Hope this helps! :-)
