I got these boots 2 weeks ago before the big snow storm in the North East and I love them. All the reviews said to get a size smaller which scared me because I wear an 11 so usually this doesn’t apply to me. I ended up getting a size 10 and started wearing the boots 3 weeks after toe surgery. The are extremely comfortable and I don’t regret getting a size down. I also discovered that you can take the sleeve out makes them a pretty cool pair of rain boots. If the sleeve weren’t removable I would argue that you may want stay true to size but with that piece being removable sizing down is the way to go. I am always cold and am notorious for layering up but with these boots you can either wear no socks or very thin socks or leggings and feel toasty. I’m very happy with my purchase.

These boots are so warm! As the other reviews state, the boots do run a little big and do push your feet forward slightly. I recommend wearing thicker socks to prevent the backs of your feet from scuffing against back of the boots. I’m stuck in the mid-Atlantic 2010 blizzard and I just got in from shoveling for 2 hours. My feet are the warmest part of my body. These were the best purchase I’ve made in years. I purchased from Ramsey Outdoor (through Amazon) and the shipping was very quick.

Like the boot very much, warm, pretty much non slip, but you do have to “break in” the leather a little around the ankle to stop the discomfort. size is true. I’m an 8 they fit like an 8. I debated between the brown and black, got the brown, I dig it- because it has black and brown on the boot, so everything goes.

I fell in love with these boots (in Black) when I first saw them and I finally found them on Amazon. When I tried them on at home for the first time, they were terribly uncomfortable. I saw the same style in a local dept store (but in a different colorway) while out shopping and tried them on and found that pair to be very comfortable. So, unfortunately, I had to send them back due to manufacturer’s defect. I was sad to not have them, especially in this weather! (I’m in MD in the middle of our blizzard!). If they had fit the same way the one’s in the dept store did, I would surely have kept them. I think Sorel needs to do better quality control.

I think these boots are definitely sized correctly. Some reviews said they ran small. I think that if you wear an 8, you’ll want to order an 8. They are nice boots. . . . . very warm. A little manly, but that’s pretty typical for a warm & waterproof boot. My pair were a little over $100, which seems a little expensive. Overall, I like them.
