I actually bought these in the cognac color at DSW and I am purchasing the black color from Amazon. I like this boot because it's not to trendy, but still gives the right look with my trendy clothes. They have the openness and straps of riding boots, but still has sleekness and sophistication as a slouch. I have worn them with jeans and leggings out on the town and with skirts and dresses to church. I love love love them personally. When you find a good boot, you can't pass it up that's why I am getting another color.

I purchased these boots both in tan and black. I love the actual look of the boot. The leather is soft BUT after wearing them awhile they start to unthread at the top? If I'm paying close to $100 bucks for a pair of boots they best be not unthreading. So that's why I gave them 3 stars. As far as comfort and fit - based on other reviews that I read prior to purchasing my boots I knew to size up so I did (I normally wear a 6 -6. 5 and I ordered a 7) and they fit perfect. Now onto comfort - I wore them out for my bday and I have to say I didn't do much dancing but OMG - at the end of the night the balls of my feet were BURNING!!!! I ended up purchasing the gel inserts for the balls of my feet - have not worn them out again so I can't say if they work but let's hope they do. So based on the lack of comfort I gave these boots 3 stars. Also these boots look the best when paired with skinny jeans or leggings!
