After our surprising 20″ inch snowfall in December it dawned on me that my boots were sadly lacking in every way. I hunted around locally then started researching on Amazon. Based on reviews, I purchased these boots. I normally take a 9 1/2 W but going by the reviews I thought I’d chance it and bought the 10M in black. After receiving them I almost sent them back; I couldn’t get my feet in the liner wearing socks and I’d have needed several pairs of socks without it. Fortunately, something stopped me. We’ve since had two back-to-back snow storms resulting in lots of deep snow. I decided to try without socks, just using the liner. Who would believe my feet would stay so warm, dry and comfortable! I have several dogs and had to shovel paths for them and us. I probably spent 2-3 hours a day outside wading though snow and never had cold or wet feet. These boots are amazing! They are one of the best purchases I made in 2009. It’s relatively easy to get the boots on and off, the liner keeps feet toasty (but not sweaty at all – how do they do that?) and puddles or drifts are no problem. If you spend any time in the snow treat your feet right and buy these boots. You won’t regret it!

I have been wearing my white Sorel Snowlion boots for over 15 winter seasons . . . They are the best boots ever; so comfortable and wonderfully warm for walking in snow!

These boots are really, really warm and dry. They aren’t what one would call “dress” boots, but if you have to be out in very snowy and very cold weather, you’ll be glad you’re wearing these.

I had just recently moved and I had been used to my old apartment having very little snow on the ground due to either a roof over the porch or the tree cover–and then parking lots having already been plowed. At my new apartment, there isn’t a roof over my porch and there’s not as much tree cover so when it snows it has a tendency to pile up quite a bit.
What urged me to buy the boots is because of the snow drift outside my door one night was quite literally up to my knees. Not to mention other snow piles were up to my shins and my old ankle snow boots just weren’t cutting it anymore. I had done a lot of research on snow boots (I hadn’t bought any new snowboots since my feet stopped growing about 13 years ago) and found these to be a possible suitable match.
And they were! They are quite comfortable and the inner layer helps keep my feet nice and warm! Other reviews will tell you they come a size bigger and I will have to attest to that. I wear about a 7. 5-8 depending on the brand so I bought these as a size 8 and they feel more like a size 8. 5-9. This is ok because I usually wear layered socks in the winter.
