I bought these boots to supplement the rubber lacrosse boots I usually wear to work in the winter, which retain all of your feets perspiration in cold weather giving you wet feet regardless. The garrisons do not retain foot sweat but are likewise about as water resistant as the Titanic. I recommend them for very cold weather where there is little moisture in the snow. However, these boots are comfortable and remind me of walking around with a pillow duct taped to each foot. They do retain heat fairly well when wet, which kind of surprised me but without a dryer your going to be putting on a wet boot the following morning and that is never fun. If I were to do this over I’d save a little longer and go for a waterproof pac like the ones made by Irish Setter ($$$).
