I bought these boots just for day hiking, and they are perfect for that! When I put them one for the first time they felt like they were alredy broken in.
I’d like to see the soles made out of a little tougher material because after two days of mountain hiking the soles at the toes were starting to get a bit worn down. I still think that they are great for hiking around mountains. Those boots are very comfortable indeed!
I recomend them for any day hikers.

These boots feel very cheap and are made in china! They do not seem to be authentic! We are returning them! I guess I should have paid more attention to the words G. I TYPE! boots.

For walking all day, I found the boot to be very comfortable; I weight 160lbs. If you are looking for rugged, this boot is not it. The leather is very thin and the boot feels very light. The speed lace feature makes putting on the boots much easier than conventional boots; pull the top edges of the boot appart and the laces slide. The boot looks as good as it does on the pictures.
